the agreement between retreat organiser & guest

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking a yoga retreat with us.

By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Tashi Dawa Yoga is referred to as the ‘Retreat Organiser’ and the person making the booking is referred to as the ‘Retreat Guest’

Travel Insurance 

As a retreat guest you are required to have adequate travel insurance that covers any activities undertaken during the retreat, including yoga and other physical activities. It is your responsibility to ensure that they have adequate insurance.

Health and Medical Conditions

All retreat guests are required to disclose any health or medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate in the retreat, including any injuries or illnesses. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to participate in the retreat, and we reserve the right to refuse participation or require a medical certificate if we have concerns about your ability to participate.

Limitation of Liability

By booking this retreat you are confirming you are physically and mentally able to participate in retreat activities. You must take personal responsibility during the trip for your safety during all activities including yoga, walking, hiking, swimming and general movement around the property.

You are solely responsible for damage you cause to yourself, to others or to objects including the objects and structures of the retreat property.

The retreat organiser assumes no liability for the loss of or damage to personal belongings of retreat guests. We will also not be responsible for the return of any personal items left at the retreat property.

The retreat accommodation is paid for directly by the retreat guest as a part of the retreat cost. Any additional payment beyond the cost of the accommodation covers meals, retreat activities and retreat hosting.

The retreat organisers are exempt from any liability claims, as they do not act as tour operators, but as seminar leaders.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy. By booking a retreat with us, you consent to the use of your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.

Cancellation, Change & Refund Policy

Your retreat booking remains fully transferable to another retreat guest until the beginning of the event. If we cannot find someone to take your place see the cancellation conditions below.

If we can find someone to take your place we will refund anything paid to us by the new retreat guest upon discussion, minus a €100 handling fee.

If you find someone to take your retreat place you are responsibile to negotiate the transfer of the retreat payment.

Deposits are non refundable but can be transferred to another retreat guest.

Once you have paid in full, and if we cannot find someone to take your retreat place, your payment will be honoured as retreat credit to attend any event fully organised by Tashi Dawa Yoga within 18 months. Please note this may not apply to events not fully organised by Tashi Dawa.

Once you have paid in full:

– Cancellation 60 days or more before the retreat you can receive 80% credit to use when booking future events within 18 months.

– Cancellation less than 59 days and more than 21 days before the start of the event you can receive 50% credit to use when booking future events within 18 months.

– Cancellation less that 3 weeks before the start of the event is non-refundable unless you find someone to take your place. 

Other considerations

The age limit for attending this retreat is 16 yrs unless discussed.

Any purchase of a single bed in a twin share room will be matched with the same gender. 

Travel from the airport is the sole responsibility of the retreat guest. Support for shared taxi’s may be provided by the retreat organiser. This may include a time and a place for a taxi pick up with other guests. The responsibility still solely rests on the retreat guest to attend that pick up. 

General fitness is required to participate in the yoga, walking or swimming activities.

 

General Payment Guidelines

We only accommodate a limited number of guests therefore your reservation must be accompanied by a deposit with full payment made by the due date.

Booking and Payment

To secure your place on a retreat, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, which will be deducted from the total price of the retreat.

The balance of the payment is due at least 60 days before the retreat start date. If booking within 60 days of the retreat start date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

Payment Method & Fees

Your booking is not considered final and no contract will exist until we receive full payment from you.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Credit Card or Paypal payments incur 3% payment fee which are added to the balance.

Bank Transfers are available in multiple currencies, you are responsible for any currency or transfer fees.

Changes to Advertised Program

Retreat schedules are subject to change.

We reserve the right to make changes to the scheduled offering as necessary.

We take no responsibility for the refunds, liability or cancellation policies of any private tours you may have booked which are conducted by private operators.

 

Code of Conduct

Everyone attending this retreat has the right to feel safe and free from any harm, harrassment or aggression.

We retain the right to ask retreat guests who cause disturbance to others or do not comply with an ethical and respectful atmosphere on this retreat to leave, forfeiting their retreat fee.

Retreat Participant Agreement

By agreeing to this Retreat Participant Agreement, the participant releases the Retreat Organisers and its representatives, partners and associaties from all responsibility and liability.

The Retreat Participant agrees as follows: “I am entirely responsible for my own personal safety, health, and mental, physical, emotional, and general well-being during and after the Retreat. I release Tashi Dawa as the seminar leader and the Retreat Organisers and their representatives, and any of their employees, assistants, and affiliates, of any liability for any injuries or damages mentally or physically I might incur during or after the Retreat.  I hold the Retreat Organisers harmless for anything that might happen to me or to my possessions on this Retreat. I understand that no health insurance or travel insurance is provided by the Retreat organisers, and, if I wish to be insured, I have to do this myself. I have read and understand the Retreat Participant Agreement.”

General Waiver

The Retreat Participant shall hold the Retreat Organisers free and harmless from any and all claims for losses, damages, injuries, and liabilities arising from the Retreat Organisers’ activities as well as the costs, including attorneys’ fees, of defending against them.

By paying the non-refundable security deposit and agreeing to the Retreat Participant Agreement, the participant releases the Retreat Organisers and its representatives from all responsibility and liability.

The Retreat Organisers take no responsibility or liability for cancellations, delays or changes for any reason, and the Retreat Participant expressly waives any right to hold Retreat Organisers liable for:
1) changes or delays in air schedules, missed airline or other carrier connections, or other delays in travel services.
2) Injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, including luggage and valuables.
3) Additional expenses resulting from changes in currency exchange rates, tariffs, tour prices or tour schedules.
4) Defect in any vehicle or the act or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the Retreat Participants, or in carrying out the arrangements of the Retreat, or otherwise.
5) Additional expenses incurred or due to sudden sickness, weather conditions, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, acts of God, threat of war or terrorist threats, civil strife, industrial action, technical problems, staff cancellations, pandemic, border closures, or any unforeseen changes in personal circumstances or other events beyond our control.
6) Losses due to any cancellations.

The Retreat Participant expressly waives any right to hold Retreat Organisers liable for injury, death, delay, theft, damage, or irregularities, however caused.
