Tashi Dawa has been teaching yoga since 2000 and since 2010 has been traveling around the world teaching on world class yoga retreats, intensives, workshops and teacher trainings. The retreats are full of learning opportunities for new teachers and are developed in response to requests made by early career practitioners looking for opportunities to gain a daily self-practice rhythm as well as a hands-on teaching skills.
Tashi teaches in world-class yoga retreats who are widely recognised as leaders in the retreat field, this learning opportunity offers a rare insight into the industry.
WHAT IS THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?
An opportunity to really find out what is missing in your practice and teaching toolbox and give it some attention and space. It is an intensive learning experience that offers life-long practice and teaching skills.
Most people who complete the mentorship already have at least a 200hr Yoga TTC qualification but it’s not essential. The Mentorship month is a very different experience from a TTC because it’s a customised and responsive month of enquiry. If you are easily grasping adjustments & teaching one-on-one then we’ll discover more about your personal practice and grasp of the philosophical teachings, if your personal practice is steady then we’ll extend your ability to design classes & workshops…
Portugal from March 26th – April 23
Cost: €2000 (Euros)
Italy in May, June, July, Sept or October
Cost: £2500 (full fee) or £2000 (student or low waged rate)
The month is unique to you and your needs, it’s a customised program based on your interests and existing skills.
Once your application is received and if you are successful in being offered a position you will work with Tashi to refine and define what you might achieve during your month. Reading lists and a daily self-practice program is sent 2 x weeks before your mentorship month begins.
The program covers 2 weeks before you arrive and the 4 x residential retreat weeks. Every week for 4 x weeks you meet with Tashi before the retreat begins to set-up learning & practice objectives for the week. You then enjoy a mid-week workshop exclusive to the Mentorship program that focusses on one of the learning areas.
The 4 main learning areas are:
- Week 1: adjustments and assisting
- Week 2: anatomy and alignment
- Week 3: sequencing
- Week 4: yoga philosophy
